Sales Team Manager

We are looking for a hands-on, high-performing sales team leader to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to upper management.

The Sales Team Manager is responsible for leading the team of sales professionals that generate new business and grow existing accounts. The primary role will be delivering functional and technical expertise to facilitate the development and closing of deals. The position will lead our account manager and customer service teams to develop account-winning strategies while providing support in closing business.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensures it’s strong presence
  • Develop and maintain a team of highly trained sales and customer service professionals by providing direct coaching/mentoring
  • Support the sales and customer service teams by processing customer orders and inquiries on an as needed basis
  • Contribute to the recruiting, objectives setting, supervision, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Manage individual and team performance within guidelines of company policies and incentive plans.

 

Skills

 

  • BS/BA degree in business administration or a related field preferred
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative leader or sales manager in a B2B selling environment, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Demonstrated learning curiosity and commitment to continuous education through workshops, seminars, reading, and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Proven ability to drive a B2B sales process from plan to close
  • Strong commercial business acumen and solid industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Ability to effectively multitask in a dynamic environment
